Slæ̈rn Ghræ̈p-munk (/xræ̝p/ /munk/ [extreme; intense] [herd]) is a subtropical Small City located in the Mididïleghi Principality of the Nutheli.
The name Slæ̈rn Ghræ̈p-munk is derived from the Sylvin language, as Slæ̈rn Ghræ̈p-munk was founded by Èdsho, who was culturaly Gnoll.
Climate
Slæ̈rn Ghræ̈p-munk has a yearly average temperature of 2°C (35°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a cold 1°C (33°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cold 4°C (39°F). Slæ̈rn Ghræ̈p-munk receives an average of 206 cm/y (81 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of snow during the pleasantly short winter months. Slæ̈rn Ghræ̈p-munk covers an area of nearly 15 km2 (6 mi2), and an average elevation of 1582 m (5190 ft) above sea level.
Overview
Slæ̈rn Ghræ̈p-munk was founded durring the early 16th century in fall of the year 1505, by Èdsho. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.
Slæ̈rn Ghræ̈p-munk was built using the conventions of Gnoll durring the early 16th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Slæ̈rn Ghræ̈p-munk is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.
Slæ̈rn Ghræ̈p-munk is is constructed arround a semi-circular restrictive baked earthen mainstreet, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The city is protected by a humble stone fence which is tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. The city's peasent-grade have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the city.
A look around Slæ̈rn Ghræ̈p-munk makes you worry someone might stab you in a dark ally for your boots. It’s not filthy, or dark, but the smiles seem strained, the locals seem to glare daggers in eachothers backs a little too much, and everyone is armed at all times. You may want to keep an eye on your valuables, and make sure you don’t wind up in any position of power.

Cultural Notes
Religious leaders are influential in almost any community, but in Slæ̈rn Ghræ̈p-munk they make up the final authorities. It may be an explicit theocracy, with rule by the clerics of a particular faith, or a temple might be so important and powerful that the official leaders are helpless to resist its will. The locals can be expected to be loyal adherents to the faith, or else the less pious majority is deeply intimidated by the religion’s believers.
Slæ̈rn Ghræ̈p-munk's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known primarily for its use of abstraction and simplicity. Clean lines, right angles, and primary colors characterized this aesthetic and art movement expressed via architecture and paintings. Its design ethos allows only primary colors and non-colors, only squares and rectangles, only straight and horizontal or vertical lines. These seemingly impossible principals for an architectural style coalesces into structures which most experts find hard to put into words. It is not that their geometry is impossible, but rather the style's attempt at producing works only describable visually was most successful..

Slæ̈rn Ghræ̈p-munk's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves embarking on a group pilgrimage to channel Mysticism energies of tier 2 via guttural bellowing.
